We are very pleased to welcome Amrit Virk as a co-opted member of the Trust board.
Amrit is the Assistant Principal at Burton & South Derbyshire College with responsibility for Marketing, Business Development and International students. He will represent the College on the board as we look to work more closely with them on the development of a brewery heritage and social history experience in Burton upon Trent.
With over 20 years of business experience, Amrit is committed to building stronger links between education and industry to meet the region’s evolving economic needs. He also serves as a council member of the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, part of a wider network of over 2,500 businesses representing more than 180,000 employees across the region.
Amrit commented: “It is an exciting time to be joining the Trust board and I thank the team for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to working together to create quality opportunities for young people through the significant investment planned for the town.”
